How to post Technorati Claim Code in your blog

Well this is unlike the typical posts that you find at our websites. Then, why is it here? Well I decided to publish Enzag in Technorati blog directory and it gave me a unique code. So for the newbie’s  in the blogging world, I will write a detailed post on why you should use blog directories.

Coming back to topic, many bloggers don’t know how they can publish this Claim Toke/Code in their blog and they end up wasting their precious time. Even I was confused when I was new to this. But then I was struck with an idea to write a post completely based on the Claim Code process of Technorati.

When you try to claim a website in Technorati, you are being sent a mail with the claim code. The mail looks like:

This is an automatically-generated email.

Thank you for submitting your blog claim on Technorati. Technorati will need to verify that you are an author of the site http://www.enzag.com by looking for a unique code. We have just assigned the claim token QDE7QW8678DJ to this claim. Please visit http://technorati.com/account/ for more details, including how to use the claim token.

Thank you.

Now you just need to insert this unique code in any of your blog posts and if writing this unique code in any random post doesn’t seem good to you, then you can always write a post like the way I did. It makes sense! Right?

Technorati is a monster of a site for bloggers and adding yourself to their directory should be considered mandatory.

After you publish the code in your website, visit your account in Technorati and Verify Your Claim Token by clicking on the link there. Once done, you will receive a mail from Technorati as soon as your Token is matched:

Thank you for submitting your blog claim on Technorati. We have successfully crawled your blog and found the claim token, and your claim is now awaiting review.
