Aamir Khan – The ace of 2012

Breaking norms, creating new rules and inspiring people is how you describe this Superstar. He has ruled the box office for over 2 decades and is still going strong. Quality is thy name. Yes you guessed it right.  We are talking about Aamir “Ace” Khan.

As we enter 2012, let us see what Aamir has in stored for his million fans.

This year could be a turning point for the over all Entertainment Industry as Aamir is all set to enter television with his new TV show to be aired on “Star” network.

Ever since the show has been announced, speculations are on about the genre it belongs to.

Contrary to the belief that it’s an Indian adaptation of the “Oprah Winfrey” show, reality is that it has no similarity to the successful US talk show. Aamir’s show is believed to be one of its kinds, the like of which has never been seen before on Indian Television.

It will deal with real stories and emotions of people and will be telecast in 8 languages.

The show is being designed and produced by “Aamir Khan Productions” and is by far his most ambitious project. The name and concept is still under wraps but if it’s suppose to be on air in the 1^st half of 2012. Knowing his past record and popularity, we can be rest assured of a high quality product that does justice to his super-star status and image.

2012 also marks his come back in the mainstream big budget film with the hugely anticipated suspense thriller “Talaash”. Ever since the film has been announced, people are curious to see their favorite star on celluloid.

The film is a joint production of “Aamir Khan Production and Farhan Akhtar’s Excel entertainment, and stars Rani Mukherjee and Kareena Kapoor” opposite him.

Aamir is so excited about this June 1 release that he has decided not to shoot for Dhoom3 (his next release in 2013) until Talaash releases. He wants to concentrate on the marketing and promotions of Talaash from April to June when the film opens. The film has music but no lip-sync songs or the regular ingredients that go into a big Bollywood blockbuster. In short Talaash is an offbeat biggie, but since it has the genius mind of Aamir involved in it, trust this biggie to take a humongous opening a box office. Infact as per a survey on “Hindustan Times”, Talaash has been voted as the most awaited film of 2012.  The promo of this highly anticipated film is expected to arrive with “Agneepath” prints on January 26, 2012.

Followed by Talaash, Aamir will start shooting for much talked about Dhoom 3 from mid June. The film has been in news ever since the superstar has signed the film. Everything else has been kept under wraps, but if sources are to be believed, this “Yashraj” film will break all past record when it opens in 2013. The film will have Katrina Kaif as the female lead opposite Aamir, while both Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra will continue in their roles of Jai Dixit and Ali.

India’s most successful film “3idiots” ( Rs366 crore) which stared “Aamir” in 2009, continues to enjoy huge Trp rating on TV and now he is all set to return with a bang in 2012. Whether he manages to surpass his highly impressive record is what we have to wait and watch.
