Chennai Super Kings will take on Kolkata knight Riders match 41 of DLF IPL 2012 at M. A. Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. CSK would be under stress to win against KKR. Out of nine matches, the MS Dhoni boys has won four and in four matches they end up losing , while one tie because match was washed off due to rain . And a win for Kolkata will ensure easy along with Delhi Daredevils for the play-offs.
Chennai win will be excellent for the team but that would not be so easy against Kolkata after winning three out of their last four matches. Chennai must be short of confidence after losing the match against Kings XI Punjab when they failed down to chase 157 in their home ground. CSK’s batting has been a significant issue this season only Faf du Plessis was impressive but other batsmen like Raina and Bravo were lacking in the form. Skipper Dhoni himself is having a bad patch with the bat. If their batting doesn’t click on now, they may not be eligible for knock-outs. On the other hand scenario for Kolkata, they have been one of the better teams this season and look all set to create their second subsequent play-off. The spirits of Gautam Gambhir’s team would be high after 47-run win against Bangalore on Sunday at the Eden. Gambhir with 93 nicely revealed the type of form he is in, and with Jacques Kallis and Brendon McCullum also looks in excellent touch.
