After an amazing win over Deccan Chargers in the last now Delhi Daredevils will now tighten the gear up against Pune Warriors India in Match 27 of DLF IPL 2012 at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium, Delhi. Despite of their powerful batting line-up Delhi Daredevils struggled against the Deccan Chargers thanks to Kevin Petersen’s amazing performance, won the match for his team single handedly. Viru boys have won their last three matches and team would be hopping to keep the momentum going till the end. With batsmen such as Varner Sehwag, Kevin Pietersen, Mahela Jayawardene and Ross Taylor, it would be very challenging to choose. However, all eyes would be on Pietersen after his excellent century in the last match. On the bowling side, while DD have knowledgeable players like Morne Morkel and Irfan Pathan, the one who has created a good impact this season is Shahbaz Nadeem.
For Pune Warriors to be successful, they need their openers to flame. Robin Uthappa and Jesse Ryder have been in excellent touch, but their deficit of reliability has harmed their team horribly. Look out for change in PWI’s batting line –up too. Smith and Angelo Mathews have to play a vital role in today’s match. Rahul Sharma recovered well from the brutal hitting of RCB’s Chris Gayle and turned in a decent spell against the Chennai Super Kings. It will be interesting to see how he bowls to o Pietersen, Jayawardene and Taylor.
