DLF IPL 2012 fourth match a Halla Boll performance from Rajasthan Royals team lead a comfortable victory of 31 runs over Kings XI Punjab played at jaipur. It was a nightmare for debutant Kevon Cooper playing his first match in IPL 2012 who plays for Trinidad & Tobago made an instant impression on the IPL by taking crucial wickets at regular interval as well round performance in all the departments.
Another hero of the match was Ajinkya Rahane quick fire 98 runs from 66 balls, played nasty shots all over the ground striking 16 fours and a six in his innings .Rahane laid the foundation so strong for his team which helped Rajasthan royals to put up a massive target of 191 runs to chase for Punjab team. He was well supported by his captain Rahul Dravid aided 77 runs opening partnership.
Kings XI Punjab started off well but the pressure of chasing down a huge total were the required run rate was almost 11 runs per over never going to be easy. Adam Gilchirst gave a confident start but after his dismissal no other batsman retained their wicket and made any short of impact to chase down the total.
I would say it was Rajasthan Royals controlled the game right from the start of the match, all credit goes to the captain who really used the resources well. Rajasthan royals victory really going to boost up their confidence for the upcoming league matches to be followed in the DLP IPL 2012 tournament and you never know if everything goes well for them history will be repeated once more unlikely the first IPL tournament. Team would be stronger once the international player like Shane Watson from Australia joins the team.
