Kolkata Knight Riders will take on KingsXI Punjab on 22nd match of DLF IPL 2012 at Punjab Cricket Association Stadium, Mohali. Kings XI Punjab held their nerves to beat Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens, Kolkata on April 15. Both the teams are lacking behind in their performance in IPL session 5 2012. Kolkata team was best team on the papers but could not lead upto the expectation.
Biggest disappointed showed from Yusuf Pathan – who has an ability of winning matches single handedly, just manage to score 23 runs from last 5 innings. If he gets the chance in playing eleven of today’s match really have to come out with some fire shots cracking all around the grounds. The Knight Riders have a strong batting line up, consisting of the likes of Jacques Kallis, Gautam Gambhir, Manoj Tiwary, and Shakib-al-Hasan. But none of them have managed to live up to the reputation yet. Last match Sunil Narine bowled superbly and picked 5 wickets haul. On the other hand Punjab team has to come out strong along with Adam Gilchrist, Shaun Marsh, David Hussey and Abhishek Nayar have to play key role today in batting lineup. Although they have won the last match against KKR but need to concentrate on their batting department in bowling department Piyush Chawla showed some good spin bowling and took crucial wickets of KKR in last match. KingsXI Punjab would eagerly waiting for Azhar Mahmood to join their squad .Punjab have won only won two matches out of four need to accelerate their performance for their upcoming matches in DLF IPL 2012.
