Kolkata Knight Riders will take on the Mumbai Indians match 58 of DLF IPL 2012 at the Eden Gardens Kolkata. Mumbai have to win this match to bid their place for the Playoffs, but it not going to easy against the team who looks in great touch and ranked second on the points table.
Gautam Gambhir looks in great knick this season and after the win against Delhi Daredevils in the last match have really boosted their morals on the higher side. They are just one win away from the qualifiers and win in this match again would place them in the top of the points table, so this match becomes more important for them.
Gambhir has been scoring runs heavily and well supported by Jacques Kallis, Brendon McCullum are also adding with the bat. In Kallis’ situation, he is similarly efficient with the ball. It was his cause that becomes Delhi’s downfall in the last match. And then there is Brett Lee who continues to be challenging to make runs off. And last but not least, off spinner Sunil Narine whose performance is improving in every match.
On the other hand Mumbai feature a line-up of outstanding players. Sachin Tendulkar is returning among runs with his 74 against Chennai. Then they have batsmen like Rohit Sharma, Dwayne Jackson, Kieron Pollard, Dinesh Karthik and Ambati Rayudu. Their bowling attack consist of Lasith Malinga seems to be good form and would be very difficult to score runs against him for Kolkata Knight Riders batsmen. RP Singh has performed well with Malinga and with leader Harbhajan Singh also getting his form back.
