Kolkata Knight Riders have again faced the heat this year with a poor start of the tournament. They have played two matches and lost both of them. They are going to play their third match against Royal Challengers Bangalore, in M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, who are already confident with their comfortable win in their tournament opener. Kolkata Knight Riders have got a major problem with their batting lineup and their problems might just deepen with the return of Tillakaratne Dilshan and hopefully Chris Gayle too.
Gautam Gambhir, BBrendon McCullum, Jacques Kallis and Yusuf Pathan have not done anything big with their batting so they might come out hard on RCB today. As far as RCB is concerned, even if Gayle doesn’t play in final 11, Dilshan, Virat Kohli, Andrew McDonald, AB de Villiers and Saurabh Tiwary will make a strong batting lineup for them. If Gayle comes in final XI, Murli might be dropped seeing the cap on overseas player.
If KKR wants to win today they have to put up a good show with their batting primarily. Even bowling hasn’t been upto the mark. Iqbal Abdulla, last year’s emerging player of the tournament has not taken a single wicket yet. Yusuf Pathan has failed with batting as well as bowling. They might include Sarabjit Ladda in place of Abdulla. They need to make up space for Shakib Al hasan too as he is a promising all-rounder.
Let’s look at the Expected 11 in DLF IPL 2012 Match 10, Kolkata Knight Riders vs Royal Challengers Bangalore:
