Kolkata Knight Riders will take on Pune Warriors India on their last league match between both the teams in DLF IPL 2012 at the Subrata Roy Sahara Stadium, Pune.
Pune Players would be playing for their pride, but for Kolkata team would be eyeing to lift themselves to 21 points and with it the top place on the IPL 5 points table, and if they carry onto it – for this, Delhi Daredevils must lose their last match – it will provide them with a second possibility of playing one more match if they lose the Qualifier. Apart from this, this conflict at the Sahara stadium has no interesting factor apart from the truth that home crowd in Pune will see Sourav Ganguly come out to bat for the last time in the league. Pune team would be hopping to win this match and end their campaign on a positive note.
Kolkata however, have put in some superb shows in IPL 5. Their team involves some very popular players who have performed key tasks in getting the team into the 2012 DLF playoffs. Brett Lee has headed the bowling attack as predicted of a bowler of his quality, and Sunil Narine has been excellent with the ball in his first IPL- who holds a purple cap with 21 wickets with economy rate of just 5.25.
