Skin being the most sensitive part of our body and also the most exposed to pollution and heat in summers, needs a special care so that it can be healthy and glowing. Exfoliation is essential to anyone’s skincare schedule. One must include scrub in their daily routine, because they are great to remove dead skin cells and impurities from your skin. They also nourish it with natural vitamins and minerals. Homemade scrubs are more recommendable than the chemical ones. Homemade scrubs are the easiest natural skin care product one can prepare at home. The recipes below are not only all natural; they are cost-effective.
Lemon, Salt and Sugar Scrub : Extract the juice of half lemon and add two tea spoons of table salt in it. Also add sugar until thick but not dry. Mix them all and apply to damp face. Leave it for 2-3 minutes. Then massage the scrub gently in circular motions. Wash it off with warm water.
Coffee Scrub : Take three tablespoons of crushed coffee and mix two tablespoons of olive oil and cocoa powder in it. Mix the ingredients properly. Apply this all over your skin. Leave it for 5 minutes then rinse off. Olive oil has excellent cleansing and moisturizing properties.
Peach and Almond Scrub : Take one juicy peach. Remove the peach seed. Cut the peach into fine slices and put it in a glass container and mix together until smooth. Add grated almonds and olive oil. Mix altogether until reaching a paste-like consistency. Apply all over skin. Rinse off.
Salt Scrub : Take one cup salt. Add one cup of vegetable oil and liquid soap in it. Mix them all. Massage nicely all over then rinse well.
Tomato Scrub : Take four tomatoes. Make their fine slices and smash them. Soak some rice for about 30minutes and then grate it thickly. Then mix it with the smashed tomatoes. Apply the mixture all over. Leave it for 20 minutes. Rinse off.
Honey and Yogurt Scrub : Mix 1 teaspoon of honey with 1 table spoon of plain yogurt. Spread on your face. Let it stay for 15 minutes. Rinse off. Yogurt helps to soften the skin, moisture and hydrate dry areas.
Banana Scrub : Take two teaspoons mashed banana and rolled oats. Mix them with one teaspoon of milk as well as honey. Stir it properly. Apply this texture all over. Rinse off.
Rosewater and Almond Face Scrub : Take one teaspoon rosewater and add half teaspoon finely crushed almonds into it. Mix it properly and apply all over in circular motion. Rinse off.
Mango and Almond Scrub: Mix half a cup of mango pulp with two tablespoons of ground almonds. Stir it properly and apply all over your face in circular motion.
Water and Baking Soda Scrub :Add a little water to wet 1 tablespoon of baking soda. Mix them properly. Apply to face gently. Leave on for about 3 minutes. Rinse off.
Milk and Sugar scrub : Take three tablespoons of milk and add two cups sugar in it. Also add 1.5 teaspoons of olive oil and one tablespoon of honey. Mix them well until reaching a paste-like consistency. Smooth your scrub all over in circular motions. Rinse off. Milk softens and moisturizes, locking in moisture when used in conjunction with honey.
Water and Cornmeal Scrub : Take two to three spoons of cornmeal and add little amount of water into it. Mix them properly. Apply to face gently. Rinse off.
Coffee and Sugar face Scrub : Take one teaspoon of coffee and two teaspoons of sugar in a container. Mix them properly by adding a moisturizing lotion into it. Apply the mixture all over your face in a circular motion. Let it stay for 2-3 minutes. Rinse off.
Strawberry and Coffee Scrub : Take a cup of ripe strawberries. Smash them and add to it a tablespoon of crushed coffee. Mix them well until reaching a paste-like consistency. Spread all over skin and massage in circular motions.
Oatmeal Scrub :Take one teaspoon crushed oatmeal. Mix it with one teaspoon of lemon juice and two teaspoons of yogurt. Stir the mixture properly and apply.
