Gone are those days when we had to wait for someone to fly down from US so that we can order an iPhone or an iPad. Now-a-days, Apple products doesn’t not take a lot of time in coming to India after their official launch in US and other main countries like Germany, UK, etc. Apple’s New iPad hit the international market on March 16, ’12. It’s just been a month now and we get to hear that Apple New iPad will hit Indian stores on April 27.
Apple has announced that it will launch New iPad in the following 12 countries- South Korea, Brunei, Croatia, Cyprus, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Malaysia,Panama, St Maarten, Uruguay and Venezuela. A week later it will be launched in India on 27th April. The other countries where Apple New ipad will be launched along with India are Colombia, Estonia, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, South Africa and Thailand.
The New iPad features same screen size as in iPad 2 – 9.7 inch but with added high quality Retina display having 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution. It supports 326 pixels per inch density. Retina display is being considered as the best quality screen available in the market for tablets.
The New iPad has got 1.5 Ghz dual core A5X processor with quad-core architecture. It comes with iOs 5.0 operating system.
The new iSight camera of New iPad features a 5 megapixel image sensor designed by Apple and also integrates hybrid IR filter along with 5 element lens. This camera is capable of recording HD video of 1080p at 30 frames per second. For Face Time video chat there is a front camera too.
Other features of the New iPad tablet include WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, Accelerometer sensor, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope sensor. Apple has also added slightly bigger 42.5-Watt-hour rechargeable lithium-polymer battery which offers10hours backup for surfing the web on Wi-Fi, watching video or listening to music.

Even if you buy New iPad Wifi+4G model, you wont be able to use 4G feature in India. However, only the lucky people of Kolkata may be able to explore the full 4G features of New iPad, as of now. If you can’t shell out the extra bucks required for the New iPad, there is a good news. Apple has dropped price of iPad2 to Rs 24,500 (16 GB + Wi-Fi) and Rs 33,000 (16 GB + 3G). I feel sorry for those who has just bought iPad2.
