Microsoft released the Customer Preview of Office 13 on July 16, 2012. This Customer Preview is available for testing today for users of Windows 7 and Windows 8. This next generation Microsoft Office comes with a significant amount of design besides sporting a new logo. It includes Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. This version is more tablet friendly and is optimized for both touch screens and traditional desktops.
“We are taking bold steps at Microsoft,” Microsoft’s CEO Steve Ballmer said at the press conference. This version of Microsoft focuses on improving functionality with multiple forms of input. Windows 8 will be available to users starting October 26, 2012 and Office 2013 will come bundled with this OS. .
