Go offline on facebook chat: A new chat system for better privacy

Usually you don’t go online on Facebook chat because some jerk whom you can’t remove from your friend list (as he/she must be a family member or an acquaintance) keeps on irritating you with stupid pings. Facebook respects your privacy, so it keeps on improvising its features to give you better privacy. In this regard, facebook first brought “SMART LISTS” option to help you placing your friends in “SMART LIST” categories and easily control which group of friends sees you on chat. Now facebook has introduced a new feature with which you can just appear offline to an individual friend who keeps on irritating you.  New chat system gives you different options as explained below:

1. Online to all your friends except.. : Select this option if you want to appear online to everyone except few people or a group of friends whom you have placed in a list. Add a lists’s name or friend’s name in the box given below this option. 
2. Only some friends see you: Select this option if you want to appear online to only limited people or list. You can add friends or lists in the same way as you did in the first option.
3. Go Offline: Pretty easy and clear to understand. As the name suggests, select this option if you don’t wanna be online on Facebook chat.
4. Go offline for an individual friend: Now this is something exciting and much needed. Everyone has got that one friend to whom you never wanna chat and cannot remove him/her from your friend list. For that ONE person, you don’t need to make a new list. Just use this option to save your day. For this, Go Online > Click on that friend’s icon if they are online > Click on Settings icon on top of that chat window > Click on Go Offline to “Stupid Friend”. That’s it. Well you might think it’s complicated but this is the best option out of the above three.
